Behind the restoration of St Ernan’s by the Loch is a dedicated group of trustees, volunteers and supporters working to protect the building and create a sustainable future for it.
Bringing St Ernan’s into community ownership was a significant achievement, made possible through years of planning, fundraising and community involvement.
Since the acquisition, our Board of Trustees has continued to guide the project, helping shape its future and overseeing the work needed to restore and develop the building. Our trustees bring a range of skills, experience and local knowledge, along with a shared commitment to preserving St Ernan’s for future generations.
You can find out more about the people behind the project on our Meet the Trustees page.
Our Project Manager, Suzanne Pender, has been playing an important role in moving the project forward, working closely with the trustees to coordinate the next stages of restoration and development. Her work includes researching funding opportunities, preparing grant applications, liaising with architects and other professionals, and helping turn the community’s ambitions for St Ernan’s into practical plans.
Volunteers and supporters have also made a valuable contribution, giving their time and enthusiasm to activities including our summer Open Afternoons and Art Competition and Exhibition, alongside practical improvements to the building and grounds.
As we look ahead, there will be further opportunities for people to get involved and help shape the future of St Ernan’s.
Whether you can offer a few hours regularly or help occasionally at an event, we’d love to hear from you.
