St Ernan’s by the Loch has been part of some of life’s most meaningful moments for more than 125 years, and a recent wedding provided a particularly lovely reminder of the building’s place in local family history.

We were delighted to welcome Euan and Saskia Mackie, a local couple who recently celebrated their marriage at St Ernan’s.

What made their wedding especially significant was the family’s longstanding connection to the church, with Euan and Saskia representing the third generation of the family to marry at St Ernan’s.

It’s a wonderful example of the memories and traditions that make this historic building so special to the Ross of Mull community.

As we look towards the future, we hope St Ernan’s will continue to provide a beautiful and meaningful setting for weddings and other important occasions, while developing its role as a welcoming space for community life.

Preserving the building means preserving the opportunity for future generations to create their own memories here.

Our warmest congratulations to Euan and Saskia, and thank you for allowing us to share these lovely photographs of your special day.
